Support
CalorieCurrent is made by one person. There is no ticket queue and no support bot — you write to me, and I answer.
I usually reply within a couple of days.
Reporting a problem
What to put in the email
None of this is required — write in whatever form suits you. These details turn “it broke” into something I can chase:
- Your iPhone — model and iOS version, from Settings → General → About.
- Where it happened — Today, Meals, Trends, Settings, or onboarding.
- What you expected — even one line helps.
- Health or iCloud — whether you connected Apple Health and whether iCloud sync is on.
Common questions
Things people ask
Why are today’s burned calories empty?
HealthKit is the source of truth when it has energy for today. If there is less than one calorie available and your profile is complete, the dashboard can show a clearly labeled estimate instead. Apple does not tell the app whether a Health read was denied, so an empty day can mean no samples yet or a denied permission.
How do I delete everything the app knows about me?
Open Settings inside the app and choose Erase all CalorieCurrent data, behind a confirmation. That removes meals, app weight entries, profile, goal, and settings. When iCloud sync is on, those deletions also apply to your private iCloud records. Data already in Apple Health is not deleted.
Does turning off iCloud sync delete my data?
No. Turning sync off stops future synchronization. It does not delete local entries or records already stored in iCloud. A storage change applies after you fully close and reopen the app.
Why did my goal suggestion change?
Suggested daily targets are computed from your current profile and are not stored as a fixed number. If your weight, activity, or goal settings change, the suggestion updates. Aggressive requests are clamped by safety limits, and the app explains what it changed.
Is CalorieCurrent medical advice?
No. It is a tracking and educational tool. Its numbers are estimates. It does not replace a doctor or a registered dietitian. The full disclaimer is shown during setup and again in Settings.
